Jackett Trusts In Players Ambition

Wolves manager Kenny Jackett has stated that the appetite of the players will be a major reason if the club are to get a second successive promotion next season. The club will be returning back to the championship after just one season in League One. There were a lot of doubts raised about the future of the club following their second successive relegation last summer. However, the negativity around the club has turned into a positive mood after a wonderful campaign in which the club has amassed 103 points.

They will be ending the season nine points above their nearest team, Brentford. However, next season promises to be very difficult one and Jackett has already been preparing with some transfer targets. The club chairman Steve Morgan recently stated that he will be providing Jackett with a lot of backing in the transfer window should he need one. The manager, though, says that the appetite of the players will play a key role in helping the club maintain the form that they have shown this season. He says that players should be hungry and looking forward to playing in the Premier league.

Wolves manager Jackett also stated that the next season will be a straight push for the Premier League.
“We have to be the hungriest team and the fittest team in the Championship and not under-estimate any team but not fear anyone. It’s about making sure we don’t waste this season and make it a successful era for this club. We’re looking for a similar outcome again next year. You still have to go out and earn the points but this club has a Premier League stamp about it and that’s something we should cultivate and take further,” said the manager.

The club will be hoping to sign a couple of strikers in the summer.
