WILL NEVES REMAIN AT WOLVES THIS SEASON?

The rumors linking Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves with an exit away from the club have cooled off recently but it is still believed that if a reasonable offer comes in for the player, he is bound to seal an exit from the Molineux Stadium this summer.

The Portugal international star has been linked with moves to some of the English Premier League's biggest clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal. The Gunners have been the club to have showed the most interest among other interested clubs and were even reported to have submitted an opening offer for the player this summer, but it just did not meet up with what Wolves want for him.

After already making three signings so far this summer, Arsenal have shown that they are serious and want to challenge other teams in the league next season and their interest in signing Neves further shows that they mean business. Wolves lost Portuguese attacker Diogo Jota to Liverpool last two seasons ago and it was evident in their team because they lacked the goal-scoring touch that Jota provided when he was still their player and that's one of the reasons why they're very reluctant to allow Neves to leave the club.

Manchester United also showed interest in the player as they sighted him as a possible replacement for Paul Pogba just in case the French midfield star decided to leave Old Trafford. However, the Red Devils did not submit any bid for Neves as Pogba is now showing mild signs that he could end up signing a new contract extension at the club.

Losing Neves would be a big miss for Wolves this summer, but they could still turn it into good business of they use his transfer fee to sign a quality replacement for him.
